Another great home field win for the Wolverines. Yesterday afternoon the Wolverines were able to earn another victory, with an impressive air show put on by Taylor Ward and his team of receivers. Ward had a great afternoon, probably his best as a Wolverine. Spreading the ball around to 6 different receivers. Throwing for 2 TDs, one to Austin Benevides and one to Simon Sepke. Ward's stats were nice and tidy finishing 12 for 15, 2 TDs and 0 INTs and rushing for 1 TD and a quarterback rating of 150.4
Not to be out done the defence played amazing as well. They gave up some yards in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but when they needed to they came up big with either a turnover or fumble recovery. The defence was lead by grade 11 linebacker Simon Sepke with 10 tackles and 5 assisted tackles. Another standout on defence was grade 10 linebacker Jordan Mages with 8 tackles, 8 assisted tackles, and 4 tackles for loss.
Wolverine's special teams still needs some work as they allowed the Eagles to recover not one but two onside kicks in the second half.
The Wolverines have a tough week as they played yesterday on a Tuesday, and now have a quick turn around and look to face DMCI on Friday for their fourth and final home game of the year. Be sure to come and cheer them on. Game time is 5pm!
